MOHA(DELUSION)

Moha(Delusion) is a  state of mind which does not permit scope for discrimination. It is ignorant of the true facts and is the origin of egoism. It is one of the six bad vices and prevents one from knowing the truth and makes one addict to the gratification of sensual pleasures and makes us run after the material enjoyment. This can cause any misery in one's life and binds the soul to the process of birth and death.  The main obstacle for one's spiritual heritage causing him to lose knowledge of his true being is Moha(Delusion). This internal enemy drags the human form all the sides away from the soul and makes life miserable. Lord Srikrishna, in Bhagavath Githa in Chapter.16 verse 16,  cautions us about the effect of Moha ( Delusion).  " Aneka - chitta - vibhrantah  moha-jala  samavritah prasanth kama - bhogeshu  patani matale shuchau" . Possessed and led astray by such imaginings enveloped in Moha( Delusion), and addicted

LOBHA(GREED)

Image
LOBHA(Greed ) is one of the six bad vices viz., Kama( desire/passion), Krodha(anger), Lobha ( greed), Moha(bondage), Mada( ego), and Mascharya( jealous).  It literally means greed.  It is the excessive desire, especially the desire to appropriate to oneself what belongs to others that too against the principles of Dharma. It is an endless sickness.  It is the condition of the mind in which one is not satisfied even after possessing what one wants.  Sometimes it tempts people to do unethical, illegal, and immoral things in the pursuit of earning more money.  The absence of contentment even after having acquired the object of desire means the individual is greedy. Here is a story, how a greedy person without contentment in life transformed into a great Donar and Devotee by the grace of God. Purandara Dasa was born in a Madhwa Brahmin Community in a village near Kshemapura,  near Thirthahalli in Karnataka State.  His parents named him Srinivasa Nayaka. A

KRODHA(ANGER)

Image
Krodha(Anger) m eans a  strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, or hostility.   Fear and sadness are primary emotions before one gets Anger. It is a  strong emotion we experience when we think someone has done wrong. Anger(Krodh) is an excessive mental turmoil on account of the obstacles in the gratification of some desire.   It is an unpleasant emotion that does more harm to the giver than to the receiver. It is one of the six bad vices viz., Kama(desire/passion), Krodha(Anger ), Lobha(greed), Moha(bondage), Mada(ego), and Mastsarya(jealousy).  Man acquires  Kama and Krodha by birth. These are inborn qualities and cannot be wiped off completely because they are necessary for every human being to eke out his livelihood,  but can be controlled to a  possible extent while leading a pious life. In Bhagavath  Githa Lord Sri Krishna described  Anger in Chap. 2 verse 63:- Krodhad bhavati sammohah - sammohat smrti  vibhramaha                                    smrti

WHY HINDUS WEAR TILAK(BINDI) ON THE FOREHEAD?

Image
Hinduism is not a religion.  It is Hindu Dharma, a  way of life.   Hindu dharma has many specialties.  It is known as Sanathana Dharma.  Sanathana means always existing,  eternal,  which cannot be destroyed by anything and everlasting. Dharma means, the way of life with all Aachaaras or customs and rituals.   In each and every aachaara there will be a hidden scientific reason.  All acharaas are followed for the mental and physical health;  long life;  prosperity and wealth; for strong family and social bondage.  Following the aacharaas as per our Dharma, give a fine personality, dharmic outlook, and vision. In India, everyone follows aachaaras for the above-mentioned psychological, physiological family relation, and social benefit viz.,  though we follow different religions we belong to one Country.  It is everyone's right and duty to understand scientifically and logically the meaning of each and every aachaara and follow the same in our life systematically. It is an establ

HONESTY

Image
HONESTY  means to be fair and straightforward in conduct or strict adherence to the facts. It further means to be truthful in all aspects of life.  It involves not telling lies, never hurt anyone through bad habits, activities, or behavior. Honesty makes a person free of all troubles and to be fearless. Being honest helps a person to get the trust of all in the surrounding, a lot of happiness, blessings from Supreme Power, and many more things. An honest person never gets involved in activities that are morally wrong. Being honest is really very beneficial in the real life.  It is not a thing which one can buy or sell; it is a good habit that can be obtained through practice only.    Honesty leads a person towards an auspicious path that gives real happiness and joy.  A person can be honest only when he/she follows honesty in various aspects of life,  such as honest in speaking, honest in the workplace, honest in doing justice, honest in behavior, and

ANULOMA - VILOMA PRANAYAMA

Image
Pranayama (Prāṇāyāma) is a combination of two Sanskrit words 'Prana' which means life force, vital energy or breath, and 'Ayama' means to extend. This forms a part of various yogic practices devised in ancient India. Nowadays almost everybody from school-going children to college students and private and public employees, business people, etc., leads mechanical life in towns and cities. They find no time to concentrate on their health. Even they have no time to verify whether their food proportionately contains sufficient quantities of carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, minerals, etc., required daily for their health. If such is the case where is the time for them to look after their physical and mental fitness? With a view to give some tip to our readers, ViprasCraft is suggesting the following simple alternate breathing exercise in comfortable pose, also known as Anuloma-Viloma Sukha Pranayama (Comfortable alternate breathing exercise). PEACEFUL AND HAPPY LIFE.

Image
Peace of mind is a mental state of calmness or tranquility, and freedom from worry and anxiety.  The desire of every human being and the goal of every prayer is peace of mind. It is a beautiful gift, which only we can give to ourselves just by expecting nothing from anyone. There is no real wealth in this world than peace of mind.    A happy life is all about the art of balancing our relationship with all the family members,  relatives, and friends. It can only be found if we can free ourselves of all other distractions. For every minute of being angry, we lose the same amount of happiness in our life.  It is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, kindness, and gratitude. It will never come to those who fail to appreciate what they already have. We won't get real happiness from what we get, but it comes from what we give to others and other living beings.  Feeling some positive emotions every day has a big effect on our happiness and well-bei

FRIENDSHIP

Image
Friendship is a relationship of mutual affection and love between people. In other words, it is familiar and liking of each other's mind. It is not something we learn in school.   Man cannot live all alone. He is a social being. He needs someone to share his joys and sorrows.   The strength of the bond of friendship between two people can vary. If the bond is very strong i.e., being kind, generous, loyal,  honest, etc., between the friends, they are called BEST FRIENDS . With these qualities, one can enjoy the bliss of friendship. Friends are important to have because they support us when things get tough in life and are always there to love and help.   Friends will come and go in our lives.  A good friend is trustworthy to tell us the truth, even when it is hard for us to hear, makes us smile, and is there to listen and comforts us when we cry. Having good friends who stood first in difficult situations is really important.  A good friend admires a person's

Substance of Bhagavadgita in brief

Image
The experience of happiness and distress in life are like the appearance and disappearance of winter and summer seasons,  tolerate them without being disturbed. For the soul, there is neither birth nor death nor it cannot be destroyed. It is everlasting and imperishable. He who dwells in the body is eternal and can never be killed.  Why you cry that you may lose something.? What did you bring with you, which you think you are losing now? What did you create your own,  which you think now that it is being destroyed?  You came with empty hands, you will leave with empty hands only.  Whatever is going to happen will definitely happen.  It is God's will. Don't  worry about it unnecessarily Be like a sage, who is not disturbed in spite of miseries nor delighted when there is happiness, free from attachment, fear, and anger. Be free from desires, devoid of false ego, and then alone you attain Real Happiness. Do your prescribed duty for the sake of God and free from

IMPORTANCE OF YOGA AND MEDITATION

The food we take is to be digested and the undigested food if any shall come out as excreta from our body after 24 hours, otherwise we fell sick. The excess water we drink shall come out within 4 hours, otherwise, we fell sick. The air we breathe in shall come out within one minute, otherwise, we fell sick. As such, Anger, Hatred, Jealous, etc., are within us years together. What will happen if they dwell in our bodies like that?  We become sick permanently. That is why our great saints say that we the fools feel that we are living daily....in fact, we are dying to some extent day by day. If our age increases what we presume....  is our life span increases or decreases? We have to necessarily accept the bitter fact that we are dying daily to some more extent from these negative energies. Anger, stress, hatred, laziness, etc, which are within us and not leaving us are making our lives deadly. The only way to give Prana Sakthi( Vital energy) to our body is Yoga and Meditation. Yog

Just ONE Homescreen on Smartphone

Image
In this smartphone age and virtual world of smartphone apps, is it worth keeping tens of screens to scroll through? As a change you can try using just one smartphone screen for all your apps. Look at the screenshot on my Poco F1 smartphone. This comes from my earlier experience of using Windows Phones where the tiles concept was making it possible to use folders so creatively without missing a notification. If possible on Windows 10, why is it not possible on Android? Now that Android has matured enough and is a robust OS, Smartphones look definitely better and do have many productivity features built-in. However, that does not prevent you to have your own say about how exactly you want your smartphone. You can just have one smartphone screen for all most used apps and you can use, if needed, further more screens for effectively utilising widgets. Do let us know if you have any comments or suggestions below.

HUMANITY

Image
The word humanity is derived from Latin Humanitas for " human nature and kindness". Humanity refers to the kind feelings humans often have for each other. The  values which are considered basically essential in humans include Sympathy, compassion, mercy, brotherly love,  kindness, understanding, tolerance, gentleness,  pity, charity, generosity, magnanimity, etc., Human values are guidelines that help us to generate good thoughts in us so that we can do good deeds,  to think about good towards others not only humans but also other living beings such as animals, birds, etc.,  They also help in our actions we play day to day in our life drama.  They are many and each value is most important to lead a righteous life in the right direction to pave a path towards spirituality. Humanity means caring for and helping others whenever and wherever possible forgetting our selfish interests at times when others need our help

KARMA AND ITS EFFECTS

Image
The word Karma means action.  It comes from the Sanskrit root 'KRI'.which means to act. It refers to the result of past actions, present actions and actions we will perform in the future. The karmas of the past, present and future are called Sanchita , Prarabdha and Agami respectively. SANCHITHA:   These are the result of actions that have been gathered in this birth and all other previous births.  PRARABDHA:  These are the present actions that we are doing now in this lifetime and their results. AGAMI:             These are future actions that result from our present actions. Lord Srikrishna in Bhagavat Githa said that everyone is forced to act helplessly according to the qualities he has acquired from the modes of material nature and therefore no one can refrain from doing something, not even for a moment. Even for the most highly educated person on the mundane plane, it is impossible to get out of the entanglements of Maya, simply by theoretical knowledg

WHO WILL CRY WHEN WE DIE?

It is natural that if a person dies in a family, all the blood relations and other members will cry for the beautiful, meaningful and colorful memories the deceased has to make them witnessed and enjoyed in their life and the lessons and life-changing values they learned from him. The people very close feel great pain for the loss of their well-wisher.  But there may be some members also in the family of the deceased, who cry more than the blood relations, for the sake of Society. Since times immemorial we have been hearing the story of Lord Rama from Ramayana, an Indian Epic.  He was loved by all, and even by His enemies.  He was the embodiment of a perfect human being.  He was given the title of " Maryada Purushothama " considering him as a Supreme being for His unbroken principles as an ideal son, a wise brother, a caring husband, a good friend, the best disciple, etc., but most importantly a notable and admiring king in the clan of Ishvaku. When Lod Rama entered Sar
