We celebrate the New Year on 1st January bidding farewell to the year ending on 31 December, almost as a ritual every year, but very few of us actually make some time to think and look at the year just passed by. While we needn't worry about our past as we can't make changes to it at any cost, we do need to have some sort of introspection and must not lose the sight of our achievements and drawbacks related to those goals that were met and of those that eluded us. We are all human and are not the perfect beings, but striving for continuous improvement isn't a bad thing either. What we need to really check about ourselves is whether we have made our presence felt to this world, or not!

IBM ThinkPad security is great with the BIOS Password

IBM uses a secured EEPROM chip soldered on the motherboard of each laptop they manufacture. And they will set a specific password for each computer. According to IBM, when you buy the laptop, they will provide the ‘BIOS password’ or ‘Supervisor Password’ to you. That particular password termed as ‘ Supervisor Password’ is the BIOS password on all IBM Lenovo laptops. Even if you are the owner of a laptop if you lose your BIOS password, you need to take your laptop along with the proof of purchase to an IBM vendor and he will replace your mother board if it is under warranty or will charge you a fee for replacement. Satya Tatvam (Truthfulness) is greater than Religious rituals and Sacrifices

Satya Tatvam in Sanskrit, means Truthfulness or Honesty . 'Telling what is heard and what is seen as it is, is called 'truthfulness'. One who tells the facts without any hypocrisy or cunningness in mind is called a man of truthfulness. Leading this kind of life is not an easy thing. The Mahabharata, the Indian epic tells about this truthfulness as follows: “Even if you compare with thousand performances of religious sacrifices, Truth proves its greatness over  them. The pious dipping and worshiping in all sacred rivers and making pilgrimages are also not equal to truth. Truth is the highest virtue”. Only speaking the truth is not a limit to a truthful person. If Humans become genuinely spiritual not for the sake of society but for one's own self, become more health conscious, develop compassion and love towards Animals, they switch over to vegetarianism. We don't intend to hurt any of your feelings, but as it was rightly said by ISKCON, "You are what you eat!" This is also correct, because your food is mainly responsible for your behavior whether you are intelligent or cunning or lazy or anything else. Everything we eat contributes in one way or the other to one of our qualities. If you eat food derived from the plants, you would be peaceful, sharp, healthy and with good behavior. If you eat more meat and less vegetarian, you would become lazy, more prone to illnesses and ill-mannered in your behavior. This can be noted, in fact, by any one of us observing our surrounding people whose food habits are known to us.

In Sanskrit, 'prana' means life-force and 'ahuti' means offering. LOVE OF THE BODY

According to our scriptures, our body is made of five gross elements viz. Earth( Prithvi), Water(Jal), Fire(Agni), Air(Vayu) and Sky(Akash) and three subtle elements viz., Mind, Intelligence and Ego and beyond it Soul exist. In Sanskrit the body is defined etymologically as follows: " Seeryathe iti sareeraha :"  It  means:  that which decays is body or Sarira " Dahyathe iti deha ": It is called body because it is burnt. It means the body is constantly consumed by the fire of desire while alive.
